meeting was held in the village hall, Brancaster Staithe ,
PRESENT Mr.A.Townshend, [Chairman]; Mesdames .J.Sands and C.Borthwick;; Messrs, N.Linge , J.Petchey A.Townshend, M.Fullwood, M.Billing . Also present were 12 electors 1.APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE J.Snelling, T.Large 2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST Nil 3. MINUTES Agreed and signed as correct [prop.CS, sec.JP]] 4. MATTERS ARISING Seats JP reported that 6 seats had been ordered. Sites: Deepdale Church 1; Barrow Common 3; Brancaster green common lane 1; Brancaster Staithe tennis court area 1. Saxon Field Parking - following the public meeting it was agreed to contact landowners with regard to selling/leasing a piece of land for allotments/car parking. Prop. JP, sec.CS. It was learned that T de Winton had not been contacted by Hastoe. Also agreed not to pursue the development of the roadside area by the A149 but to get the thoughts of NCC Highways on this [prop CS sec MF] Litter Bins The two new bins with covers were now installed. KC to be reminded to take away the old green bins. 7-16 Marsh Side another attempt would be made to get some information on this. Brecklands JP reported on a site meeting with Mr. Stonebridge. A better plan had been proposed with 4 dwellings. Sewerage problem at BD Pumping station had been pumped out but the area not cleaned up, 5.REPORTS FROM PC REPS. JP Barrow Common; AGM report AT/CS Sea Defence Meeting. Work to end in November. 6. . FINANCE [a] Invoices for payment: Agreed to pay following invoices [prop. JPetchey, sec.CS]] MHB £65.08 ; Norse playing fields maint. £751.41; Suffolk CC [bin covers] £788.90; Harry Stebbing [deposit for village sign] £1500; [b] Requests for funding : Simms Reeve Ins. No grant forthcoming for repairs to the flat roof.. Agreed to make donation of £1000 [prop MB, sec.JS] [c] Accounts 2008/09 Circulated and accepted. 7. PLANNING 1. Santa Lucia, Cross Lane, Brancaster; demolition of old dwelling no objection; Caution expressed about replacement dwelling. 2. Cornerways Cottage, Brancaster; conversion of house to two dwellings Objection 3. Cornerways Cottage, new dwelling Objection 4. The Shed, Malthouse Yard, Brancaster Staithe; retention of shed [J.Loose] No objection 8. ALLOTMENTS Dr. Seppings spoke on this, stating that usual area for an allotment plot was 250 sq,metres .If this proposal was successful he would be willing to run it. A minimum of 6 applicants would be required. Prop.CS, sec.JS that PC contact landowners i.e T de Winton, J.Borthwick, Hartop Trust. Agreed. 9. HOLLY HEDGE CORNER, Brancaster Staithe - Chairman reported that Mr.S. Oliver had agreed to have the hedge cut back. 10. CORRESPONDENCE 1. Dr. Humphreys car park pass application. Refused. 2. Mrs.A.Marlowe seat sponsorship, green common land. Her offer was gratefully received. 3. Brancaster playing field dead elms on east side. These had been inspected. They would be trimmed as and when deemed necessary. 4. David Cave Brecklands planning application. Comments noted. 5. David Mills, Public Rights fo Way Officer Status of Market Lane 6.
