Welcome to the web pages of the
Brancaster Parish Council

The Parish of Brancaster on the North West coast of Norfolk is made up of the wards of Brancaster and Brancaster Staithe with Burnham Deepdale.

These pages give you who is who on the Council and there will be regular up-to-date reports of the proceedings of the Brancaster Parish Council.

Brancaster was famous for its siting of the northern-most Roman fort of the Saxon Shore, but is now better known for Brancaster beach, the harbour at Brancaster Staithe, both part of the National Trust, and the Royal West Norfolk Golf Club which has its links on the sand dunes and land of the Brancaster Marsh Common.

Local industry still includes farming and fishing but increasingly there is a service industry catering for the needs of holidaymakers and second home owners.

We have in the Parish, two general stores, a post office, the fish shed, one petrol station, three pubs/restaurants, car repairs/MOT, facilities for sailing and power boats and two Anglican Churches and one Methodist Church.
